Once the funeral is past thoughts turn to lasting memorials for your loved one. We provide a full monumental masonry service.
Headstones
A large selection of memorial headstones is available and we will liaise with the necessary authorities to arrange for the appropriate permissions. All lettering inscriptions are done by a skilled stonemason.
Existing memorials can be cleaned and extra inscriptions, matched to the existing style, can be added. We would be happy to discuss the many different options available with you.
Granite bird baths are also available which have a hollow column to facilitate the storing of cremations ashes. A lovely feature to have in your own garden in the absence of visiting a grave.

Ashes Caskets & Scatter Tubes
In most cases, cremation ashes which are to be buried need to be transferred into a suitable casket. There are many options available including, wooden, willow, woollen as well as many others. If scattering cremation ashes is preferable, tubes with various designs are specially designed to help facilitate this.
A variety of other keepsakes are available to store cremation ashes or perhaps a lock of hair, carrying on one of the traditions from the Victorian era.

Glass Memorials
Each of us chooses our own way of remembering those we have loved and lost. There is no right or wrong way to do so.
As well as traditional headstones and stone memorials there are other options available. These include pieces of jewellery which contain small amounts of cremation ashes or even a lock of hair – a similar concept to mourning lockets and rings from the Victorian era.
Cremation ashes can also be transformed into a piece of glass or even into a diamond to be set into a piece of jewellery of your choice.

Fingerprint Memorials

We are able to place a loved one’s fingerprint on Jewellery, giftware and more, creating special one-of-a-kind keepsakes. Our unique fingerprint transfer process is simple and efficient.
Transfers are completed using an electronic scanner – safely and securely.

Anniversary Service
Whether it be the anniversary of a death, the birthday of a loved one, Christmas, Easter or any other special occasion we can arrange for flowers to be delivered to a cemetery or other special place.
Ask us for details and we will ensure that the special occasion is marked is a special way.
Memorial Tree
We support various local charities and clubs but in January 2016 we decided to try something different. Our memorial tree was created. The aim is to fill the memorial tree with glass leaves in memory of those we have loved and lost.
- Each glass leaf, in your chosen colour, is accompanied by a tag engraved with your loved one’s name.
- The leaves will hang on our memorial tree, which is on display in our window until the end of November each year.
- The leaves will be returned to you during December to hang on your own Christmas tree each year.
The memorial tree was made by volunteers at The Men’s Shed in Galashiels. The leaves are designed and made by local glass artist Kenny Scott at Caddon Design in Clovenfords.
